Black Adam is coming and rumor has it, it’s going to be an epic comic book movie event. Friday, October 21, 2022, we get to witness this spectacular event in theaters around the US. Not only do we get to finally see this awesome character portrayed in theaters, but we also get a healthy dose of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson playing a hardcore badass superhero. What more can a movie fan ask for? Check your local movie theater or Fandango to score your tickets and choose the best seats in advance.
Not quite a villain, yet not quite a hero, Black Adam is the definitive anti-hero of the DC Extended Universe. He fights for the innocent as mightily as he punishes the guilty. This latter behavior has indeed put him on alert with DC’s mightiest heroes, including the likes of Shazam and Superman. There will likely be many crossovers in the future, but for now, it will be exciting to witness Black Adam’s origin story and initial conflicts on the big screen.

Final Thoughts
We can’t comment on the movie yet since we haven’t seen it, but the trailers are looking awesome. Though critics aren’t “in love” with the movie, it does have a decent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, leaving us hopeful that, as fans, it will deliver what it has promised.
With the plans for Black Adam’s integration into the DCEU and potentially rivalries with DCs greatest heroes, we will hopefully get more of this character for years to come in both standalone movies and crossovers. There are also rumors that Henry Cavill’s Superman will appear at some point, even if just as a cameo in the closing credits. We are all-in on the action, the cameos, the story, the heroes, and the villains. Hopefully, Black Adam will deliver on the hype and give the DC fanboys what we’ve been asking for.
